The ‘Just Add Fuel’ Animation From Peugeot

This video gives us a glimpse behind the scenes in the making of the intricate and powerful new animation created by the seriously talented designer Kyle Bean for Peugeot’s Just Add Fuel. The campaign is directed by Joseph Mann with animation gurus BlinkInk brought into the fold to bring their masterly touch to the finished product.

Together they have created a whole world entirely made from paper. Using stop frame animation this world is brought to life to invite you into the Peugeot world. A world where the normal day to day stresses of running a car fall away.

The idea is that owning and driving a Peugeot is a relaxing and pleasurable experience. This is what they call Drive away Happy. If you recognise the voice over that’s the unmistakable tones of John Simm who’s been brought in to front the ad campaign. The finished animation is outstanding and this clip shows us how this world was given life by the creatives involved.
