Sexy Eiffel Towers - Des Jeunes Gens Mödernes

An explosive exhibition at agnès b's Galerie du Jour, Sexy Eiffel Towers covers the Parisian post-punk eruption between 1978 and 1983. Like New York's No Wave, this was a fully-fledged cultural revolution involving artists, writers, filmmakers and fashionistas as well as musicians.

Chanel

There is certainly something ethereal about white; and for this issue, Flux has shot Chanel SS08 fashion and beauty in a six page contest of white versus colour, or skin versus cloth.

Ingmar Bergman

In his filmed investigation into our human condition, Ingmar Bergman found comedy and hope as well as bleakness and chaos. Published in the wake of Bergman's death, ‘Ingmar Bergman Revisited’ provides an alternative perspective on one of cinema's most towering figures.

Jamie Lidell

"I’m trying to make a pop record, I’m not trying to make a weird record, I can do them until the cows come home. That challenge of making little sushi, haiku nuggets of pop is a crazy, fun challenge, and that’s what I’ve done on this record."

Boredoms

A story involving 77 drummers, two musical revolutionaries and at least one religious cult: Flux gets to grips with Japan’s greatest band.

Mat Collishaw

Mat Collishaw’s latest work ‘Deliverance’ addresses our emotional transactions with the torrents of images that flood our newspapers, TV screens and computers at times of tragedy and disaster.

Panarama Place

Hillbrow was a formerly wealthy ‘whites only’ neighbourhood during the Apartheid era, which has deteriorated and fallen into disarray. Today Hillbrow has become one of the most dangerous parts of Johannesburg as depicted in our photo feature by Ilan Godfrey.

Cosmic Wonder Light Source

Cosmic Wonder Light Source brings a sense of light to fashion. For its SS2008 incarnation wood panels, mirrors and lights produce a house of light, and for Flux, they have prepared some special photographs clothing the models in reflections of wood and light.
