We’ve all told little white lies I’m sure. Sometimes it’s to impress others, a little embellishment here and there.
Some people tell absolute porkers of course and sometimes the bigger the lie the easier it is believed. Well now MTV are giving away a £1000 holiday for the best little white lies.
All you have to do is share the strangest, most cringe worthy or downright hilarious fib you’ve come out with to impress the crowd. Just tweet @MTVUK your funniest fib using the hashtag #fakingitstory and you could win a £1000 holiday courtesy of MTV. I remember a guy back from my college days who liked to pretend he was from Manchester with this really odd fake Manc accent. It turned out he was posh and from Surrey but he tried to keep this up for the whole of the first term. Top marks for persistence but nil in the cool stakes as everyone saw through that one.
This is all to celebrate the launch of their latest show Faking It that features the tale of two young high school girls who desperately want to fit in. To move up the popularity league they fake they’re gay and their popularity soars and much hilarity takes place along the way. You can catch the trailer for the show on the video link above.
Some of the world’s best known bloggers have been sharing their Faking It moments via YouTube. Click here to watch a video where one man comes clean and admits his own excruciating bending of the truth.
The show launches this Wednesday 24 September at 9pm on MTV (Sky channel 126 & Virgin 134)
