The Autumn Dior eye make up collection is a masculine meets feminine, high glamour, stormy blue collection with shades of white, nude and silver. Expect to see matte contrasted with shimmer like the silk lapel of a tuxedo or intense lightening flashes against a broody night sky!
For Autumn 2011, Dior pays homage to every shade of blue so long as it is midnight! The first time we saw it was in 1949 with the legendary Junon dress, whose layers of grey tulle were embellished with deep blue sequins and midnight blue became one of the iconic colours of the House of Dior.
First up, the Dior Blue-Tie is a Dior eye make up palette of four eye shadows and a gloss in a superbly elegant metal case. In two versions featuring a light or dark blue – supported by three shades of blue grey, Dior are planning on dense smoky eyes a plenty come autumn in these quartets that combine matte and shimmer textures.
Alongside the Blue-Tie on the counter will be the new 3-colour Smoky palette – in Smoky Black and Smoky Navy in an innovative box with a sliding lid that contains a soft preparatory base, and then a matte and an iridescent eye shadow.
Other products in the range will include the latest Dior eyeliner, the very graphic Diorshow Waterproof Liner in carbon or navy. Lips are light with a hint of colour with Rouge Serum – Crystal Shade in four new shades in a lip treatment palette for a sensual, delicate shine. Dior Rouge appears in 4 new shades of nude in beige and pink tonesto offset the smoky eye. And the finishing touch is 2 new shades of nail varnish – what else? Two bold blues – Tuxedo for the stylish, magnetic look and the more urban Blue Denim.
