This season we’re excited about ‘the most futuristic sneakers on earth’, brought to us by Munich based brand Nat-2. Francesca Taylor gives us the low down.

Best known for their famous 2-in-1 stack shoe, one of the oldest shoe dynasties in Europe has unveiled the newest edition to their AW13/14 collection- the amazing Cube Series sneaker.

These unisex sneakers are undeniably original, having been designed in a kaleidoscope of unusual colour-ways and fabrics. Each unique pattern has been projected onto a chunky hi-top sneaker, the perfect silhouette for the diverse designs. Particularly innovative is the aptly named ‘Varnish’ style sneaker which features a holographic finish, designed to reflect differently depending on the colour of the laces.

Amongst the reflective snakeskin, metallic green and perforated leather, we find the brushed vintage design which features Aztec cotton knit panels around the toe and heel of the sneaker. The variety within the Cube series is amazing, and yet the heavy-duty hiking laces and square-patterned cushioned tongue with nat-2 logo remain consistent in every design, making for a strong and identifiable aesthetic.

Nat-2 aims to challenge the boundaries of footwear, and the Cube Series does just that. Each style in the series caters to the individual, an individual who wants to be seen and envied for their sneakers!
