From Cordwainers famous footwear college to her very own label, Charlotte Olympia Dellal has always been about fashion and what’s great on your feet. Launching her luxury London based shoe brand in 2008, her designs are inspired by the golden days of Hollywood past. Think screen sirens like Ava Gardner, Vivien Leigh and Hedy Lamar. Red carpets and vintage glitz.
Sophisticated and tongue in cheek, the brand mixes classic sophistication with the finest materials and Italian craftsmanship in designs that are feminine and chic. Classic Olympia means Kitty faces, leopard prints, pouting lips and sparkling spider webs on ballet flats or towering heels.
So we were rather intrigued to hear about the exclusive launch this month of Charlotte Olympia’s first ever capsule collection of sneakers. The collection presents five styles adorned with Charlotte’s signature whimsical details.
Look out for iconic Kitty faces and spiders web in low or high-tops. Playful luscious red lips adorning Kiss Me Sneakers in black or off-white nappa. A delicate gold metallic web covers the Web Sneakers in black canvas and luxurious blush silk satin while the Web High Tops are capped at the toe in gold leather. Low-top Purrrfect Sneakers and Purrrfect High-Tops feature the iconic Kitty face embroidered on the tongue and are available in leopard ponyskin and rich red or black velvet.
For those who want to kick up a fuss when dressing down, sneakers have never been so glammed up.
