Puma x McQ: Second Season Evolution

PUMA x McQ returns for a second season, bringing the McQ fashion DNA to classic PUMA sports silhouettes.

The PUMA x McQ collaboration evolves from the trainer brand’s innovative liaison with the Alexander McQueen label – one of the original sports fashion partnerships.

The McQ link brings the more youthful, street culture heritage of the Alexander McQueen label to the sports brand’s archives, with the debut PUMA x McQ collection last season seeing a great mix of McQ fashion edge and PUMA sports classics.

For SS15, the collection moves on a pace with mismatched colours and metallic textures adorning traditional PUMA shoe designs; technical mesh meets premium leather and unexpected glow-in-the-dark details. The colour palette is reminiscent of 1950s Formica colours, bright and clashing with a fresh modern twist.

Updated performance inspired Run Mids lead the way with new nubuck mounded cage features, highlighted with silver metallic foil and fluro orange lasered leather; key for McQ SS’15. Both the Rush Mid Low and Mid T are re-imagined through Alexander McQueen’s extensive archives, with the iconic graphic tyre print covering both styles and bringing McQ’s sense of rebellion and spontaneity to life.

Womenswear sees PUMA’s historical archives tapped into once again with the return of the Leap Lo, refreshed with open cage panels and neutral greys creating depth and shade. The Move Femme Lo uses exciting metallic foil elements inspired by the thermal blanket and rich Italian leather.

The PUMA x McQ SS15 Pack is out now. Available at Flannels stores in Liverpool, Leeds, Nottingham, Birmingham and Cardiff. Also available at Poste and McQ.
