K-Swiss Hiking Boots: Take to the mountains this winter

If you’re like me and enjoy a nice hike up the side of a mountain to clear your head and replenish your soul you’ll be pleased to hear that you’re not alone. We hikers have to stand up and be counted, not cringe and deny our passion.

Now those fashionable sports types at K-Swiss have come along to validate your secret hobby. We no longer need to lurk in the shadows. We can come out of the closet resplendent in our shiny new hiking boots. That’s right. K-Swiss have garnered all their knowledge and produced a walking shoe for the mountains for the first time. In fact K-Swiss are going back to their roots. K-Swiss was created by The Brunner brothers – two ski fanatics fresh from the Swiss Alps. Their original tennis shoe was adapted from their mountain know-how.

The AW 2011 hiking collection looks back at the K-Swiss alpine past with the Blade Light Landcruiser combining a chucker upper with super comfortable K-Swiss exclusive blade technology taken from the brand’s latest performance running shoes. The result is a light and stylish shoe. And there’s the Classic Hiker High with its rough silhouette and contrasting laces. These sneakers/boot hybrids are becoming very desirable – which is good to hear!
