Burberry and Noisey Brit Sound + Rhythm Shorts presents The Family Rain

The Burberry and Noisey produced initiative Brit Sound + Rhythm is back in full throttle presenting the latest batch of home grown creative excellence.

Brit Sound + Rhythm celebrates the unique nature of the UK music industry and the spirit of the new fragrance from the iconic British brand, Brit Rhythm.

We covered the last round with London Grammar and now it’s the turn of fast rising stars, The Family Rain.

From listening to their Dad’s record collection from The White Album to Sticky Fingers, The Family Rain imagined the Rolling Stones as big Hell’s Angels after hearing the force of the music. So when they finally saw that Mick and the boys were in fact skinny white kids and being slightly of the skin and bone persuasion themselves they thought, “There’s still Hope!”

The band have been playing together since they were 14 turning up to pubs and playing covers. They didn’t even tell the other kids at school they were in a band as they were a bit embarrassed.

Well, all that toil and facing your demons in front of a live crowd seems to be paying off. Looking self-assured when they take to the stage, the band do the bare minimum at the sound check. Just a quick run through to check the sound balance. But they are biding their time until the audience is in front of themm then they play their hearts out so that every gig has its own unique flavour.

“It’s just making sure that you’re ready for it,” they say. Well, we think they are. See what you think  by watching The Family Rain in action for yourself here.
