They say it’s the journey, and not the destination. But more than that – it’s also about how you get there.
An old Volvo estate doesn’t quite have the same feel as a Lamborghini. So what does your ideal mode of transport say about you? Would you prefer a ride on the Millennium Falcon or take a trip with Harry on the Hogwarts Express?
Millennium Falcon
You’re a rugged individualist, just like everybody else. You don’t like nobody telling you where to go or what to do, and if they don’t like it, well that’s not your problem. At least that’s what you like to think of yourself. It turns out that after shouting and complaining a lot you mostly end up doing what you’re told.

Hogwarts Express
Some people have to be behind the steering wheel of life with the open road spread out in front of them. Then there are other people who are a bit happier in life’s passenger compartment. After all, this is where they serve the snacks.
You know you don’t have to go off the beaten track to see something magical. You can follow the rails that have already been laid out. Eat your vegetables. Do your homework. Listen to your head teacher when he wants to take you on a life threatening mission. It’ll all work out for the best.

Hover Board
It takes a special type of cool to be willing to be seen in public riding a bright pink children’s toy. But the truth is, you didn’t orchestrate this. While the Millennium Falcon pilots forge their own path and the Hogwarts Passengers are happy to conform, you’ve never really had any say in the matter. You just keep finding yourself in crazy situations, trying to sort out other people’s problems when really, all you ever want to do is go home.

Howl’s Moving Castle
Some people simply don’t like travelling. It’s a lot of effort, driving is tiring and being a passenger means there’s always a chance you’re going to get sat next to that one weirdo. For you the ideal form of transport is one where you don’t actually have to leave your house, and that’s where Howl’s Moving Castle comes in. Dreamed up by Diana Wynne Jones and brought to life by Studio Ghibli, this huge but homely building stalks around on a giant pair of chicken legs, while the mysterious door in the basement kitchen will open up so that you can alight wherever you want.
