The Brigand of Kandahar – Win Classic British Film

This is another classic Hammer romp through history with Oliver Reed at his mischievous best in this slightly off kilter role. Reed plays Eli Khan, a rebel tribesman in this classic British film set in the Indian desert whist the country is still under the iron grip of British rule.

A mixed race lieutenant, Robert Case (played by Ronald Lewis), is unjustly unfairly discharged from the British Army and is taken under the wing of Reed’s band of brigands in their fight for freedom from the British yoke. They capture a foreign journalist and Case spills the beans on the false accusations against him instigated by the racism of his commanding officers. Eventually though, after a fierce battle, the British regain control and beat back Reed and his rebel army. Case is viciously shot by the brutal Colonel Drewe (played by Duncan Lamont), his former accuser. The journalist though who has witnessed the whole sorry saga returns home to Blighty where he tells the world the true story of the brigand of Kandahar.

Thanks to Studio Canal who are re-releasing the classic Britsh film we have 10 copies to give away to readers. To win a copy please email editorial@fluxmagazine.com and let us know the name of the actor who plays the character Robert Case.
