Black Jeans are a must this season – Some of our favourite styles

Black Jeans feature this season – Some of our favourite styles – words Alan Woods

I can still recall the first time I saw black jeans. They seemed all strange and alien-like next to the traditional blue on the shelves.

Even though it was just a simple change of colour – different types of people were drawn to black jeans who wore them in a different way.

It’s still the same today and it seems the glory days of black jeans has come back around for us to explore once more. Personally I always have a pair of them in my wardrobe as they can be worn in so many different ways. Black jeans feature heavily this season and they come in lots of new styles and shapes so you can really have fun mixing and matching with different outfits.

Trilogy are celebrating this with their Black Denim Edit that includes some must have styles that really can be worn from casual daytime to a more sophisticated evening look. Here’s some key styles to watch out for this season:

The Cropped Flare

Enhance your leg shape and show some ankle with cropped flares. You can try this in jet black, cord, or even velvet. This looks set to be a hot seller this season.

In Leather

Yes sexy leather jeans will be making waves this season. If you have the courage and like the style then take the bull by the horns and get yourself a pair. For those on a tighter budget Trilogy have created some leatherette and coated versions so you can still enjoy the style.

The Classic Skinny

The good old skinny style is still going strong and in black you’ll look super slick. If you can get away with skinny then this really enhances you shape and in cool black you’re onto a winner.

The Straight Talker: STRAIGHT

I know many people might see these as a bit of an old idea but this style is classic and for many still reigns supreme. These can still be figure hugging but a bit more relaxed. These can be worn with lots of different outfits and in black they have a completely different effect than traditional blue. You can play with texture such as silky satin or corduroy to twist it up a bit.

The Distinctive Jean: VELVET

These feel super luxurious and are great to move in too. They also look stylish and sexy and will feature heavily this season. Great for a party and for a daytime shopping trip depending on what you wear them with. They are so versatile and are dreamy to the touch.
