TEETH video – Live Dates, single & video on Moshi Moshi Records

words Alan Woods

Dalston based electronic punk noiseniks Teeth have just announced a series of live dates to coincide with the release of new single ‘Care Bear’ their second release for Moshi Moshi Records. The new single is taken from the forthcoming debut album ‘WHATEVER’ due September 2011.

This Teeth band are one of our favourite moshi moshi records artists of the moment. Cool beyond measure.

The London based trio rose to infamy at breakneck speed since their forming in 2008. Consisting of composer Ximon Tayki, vocalist Veronica So, and drummer Simon Whybray, TEETH enraptured a global audience with jubilant, no-rave jams and hacker dance anthems. The new single ‘Care Bear’ is true to the band’s spirit, a slice of lo-fi electro noise-pop with riot-grrrl vocals emulating the hi-NRG of their raucous stage tearing live shows.

We thought you would like to see the video for ‘Care Bear’ which, like the 80s children’s toys of the same name, features a range of colourful characters with high voices in the guise of twenty Transvestites in the making, getting ready to paint the town red!! We hope you enjoy as much as we did – great moves, great wigs, great lipstick and check the sparkler wielding girl guy look of horror…they obviously had great fun making this one.

‘Care Bear’ Teeth video is on out 25 July 2011 and ‘Whatever’ is out September 2011 on Moshi Moshi. The tour starts at The Nest, Dalston (July 15 ) and Lovebox (July 17) this week on the Gaymers Arena Stage @ 17.30 and continues with dates across the UK throughout September and October.
